MACA District | La Dolce After

On Tuesday, 1st July from 5.00pm, the spaces of Manifattura Tabacchi will host La Dolce After, an event marking the beginning of a new synergy between the local area and the international community. The initiative, promoted by the Associazione MACA District, Centro Commerciale Naturale della Manifattura e del Parco delle Cascine— launches an official collaboration with CEA CAPA Education Abroad, an international organization that has been promoting study abroad programs for U.S. students for over twenty years.

Starting in September, twenty American students, led by Professor Paolo Fiorini, will take part in an internship program aimed at analyzing the needs of the area and proposing tangible solutions for the social and cultural development of the neighborhood. The project seeks to enhance dialogue with the local community and build a bridge between Florence’s heritage and the next global generation. The event on 1st July will be the first in a series of gatherings designed to foster encounters between residents and students, promoting a new way of experiencing Florence: open, participatory, and international.

• Followed by a joint musical performance by students from CEA CAPA Education Abroad and two ensembles from Accademia San Felice (Accordi in Disaccordo, Millennial Bugs).
