MACA Rock Village
From 12th to 26th June at Manifattura Tabacchi, a project by MACA District
The initiative is developed by the Comune di Firenze in collaboration with PromoFirenze, the special agency of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, and the Fondazione Destination Florence, as part of the #EnjoyRespectFirenze campaign, adapted for the occasion into the language of live music
From 12th to 26th June, the spaces of Manifattura Tabacchi will be transformed into a venue dedicated to live music, encounters and sharing through the MACA Rock Village, a project by MACA District .
For two weeks, MACA Rock Village will bring live music, DJ sets and events dedicated to the music scene, creating a gathering point open to the city and to the local artistic community.
The first three days of the project will be dedicated to a programme of widespread DJ sets: on 12th, 13th and 14th June, from 13.30 to 17.00, three local DJs will take turns performing live in different areas of Manifattura.

- Friday 12th June | CanteFunk
DJ and record collector active in and around Florence for over fifteen years, CanteFunk builds his sets by weaving together soul, rare funk, disco, afro and old-school house. A member of the Progeas collective and radio host on Novaradio, he previously co-founded the projects KillabrosTV and Autentica. Today he is among the resident DJs of the Lumen project. His selections blend musical research and groove, with sets designed to create connections between the dancefloor, vinyl culture and timeless sounds.
- Saturday 13th June | La Ponto
DJ and music selector active mainly between Florence and the Italian independent music scene.
Her selections are based on in-depth research across funk, jazz, blues, rare groove, Italian soundtrack music and scores linked to genre cinema and vintage musical aesthetics.
A vinyl collector and enthusiast of the 7-inch format, she brings a mix of sonic research, music culture and cinematic atmospheres to her sets.
Over the years she has performed at festivals, clubs and notable radio contexts, including events such as the Firenze Jazz Festival and collaborations with organisations like Lattexplus.
- Sunday 14th June | Michael Byrne
Michael Byrne is a DJ and music selector active since 2004, known for his eclectic sets that move across different genres with a particular focus on electronic music.
Throughout his career, he has performed in numerous clubs and events across Italy, collaborating with international artists and developing deep musical knowledge also through his work at the historic Florentine record stores Marquee Moon and Move One Record Store.
He has also released original productions and remixes for labels such as Tropical Animals, Bosconi Records, Annibale Records, UR Suoni and Flexi Cuts.
His sets combine research, rhythm and unpredictable elements, with the aim of creating an engaging and dynamic musical experience.
