Living Table | Workshops for children

May 24th, from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm | Building B4

Manifattura Tabacchi hosts Living Table, an artistic practice created by Susanna Stigler. Two workshops for children are scheduled throughout the day

On Saturday, May 24th, Living Table comes to life at Manifattura Tabacchi with two workshops: Ninfee origami e il mondo acquatico dell’Officina Botanica led by Peggy in Florence and Susanna Stigler, and Carta che vola! led by Floor Robert.

Living Table is an artistic practice by scenographer, photographer, and visual artist Susanna Stigler. The project stems from the desire to create a performative and shared space where people can come together and, through making, give concrete and poetic form to stories and selected themes.

Living Table doesn’t begin and end with the morning and afternoon workshops: the table is a space that’s always alive and open! You’ll find a wide range of repurposed materials waiting to be transformed by your hands—sourced from local print shops and neighborhood markets. With simple instructions, you can create origami even outside the workshops using the available papers. Alongside you, little previews of the day’s workshops: paper birds ready to take flight and freshly bloomed flowers soaking up the sun.
