Thanks to the partnership between Lungarno and Il Mercantile, the God is Green festival will feature PLANTASIA, a concert inspired by Mort Garson’s Mother Earth’s Plantasia (1976), staged by 19’40’’, a project of musical experimentation created by Sebastiano De Gennaro and Enrico Gabrielli, in collaboration with Tina Lamorgese and Damiano Afrifa.

Plantasia is a live performance of Mort Garson’s 1976 album Mother Earth’s Plantasia, ten instrumental electronic compositions that were wholly dedicated to plants and nature, recently released by the ultra-cool American label Sacred Bones Records.

The honour and the burden of representing such a wonder have been entrusted to the skilled and experienced hands of Sebastiano de Gennaro and Enrico Gabrielli, managers of the 19’40” label and brilliant musicians appreciated both in Italy and abroad, together with their ensemble Esecutori di Metallo su Carta, made up of musicians of wildly differing cultural backgrounds, united in an attempt to unravel some of the questions around the relationship between the language of contemporary erudite music and that of uncultured contemporary music, metal, noise and avant-garde. For Plantasia, De Gennaro and Gabrielli will be joined Damiano Afrifa and Luisa Santacesaria on synths.
