Giuseppe and Stefano, countrymen from different generations, work four-handedly on elements of their own culture, the nativity scene and the terracotta whistle. Under the single roof of the guardhouse of the former Manifattura Tabacchi, they bring together the two sculptural forms dearest to them, perhaps the first they experienced.

It is precisely in a workplace such as a guardhouse that a dumb crib would have been made if the Manifattura Tabacchi was still in operation, and perhaps it has been made. This time, the aural nature of the figurines evokes a collective and public dimension of an otherwise intimate and familiar ritual.
