Botanica Urbana

On Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September, from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm, Botanica Urbana returns to Manifattura Tabacchi for a new edition in collaboration with the Società Toscana Orticultura.

The programme includes a plant and flower market-exhibition featuring a curated selection of exhibitors, along with talks, workshops, and hands-on activities for families, enthusiasts, and visitors of all ages.

Stanze Fiorite with Susanna Stigler and Sara Pizzati

Stanze Fiorite is an invitation to immerse yourself in the encounter between the floral world of Sara Pizzati and the poetic and artistic world of Susanna Stigler.
Sara brings with her the project Fatti1mazzo / Botanica Informale, with its spontaneous, seasonal compositions. Susanna gives life to Appuntare le matite come le intenzioni—the creation of rituals of poetic and colorful thought that find a joyful synergy with the natural element. A large table awaits: the invitation is to dive into natural compositions, creating your own bouquet with seasonal botanicals. We smell, we learn the names of the plants, we touch and arrange them with our hands. Alongside the flowers, participants are invited to create small fragments of poetry through writing—rituals of poetic thought and collage images—to assemble together with the floral bouquet, thus merging flowers, images, and words into one grand creative act.

Botanical Embroidery Workshop | Paid Activity

Learn the basic stitches of modern embroidery by creating a botanical composition on a hoop! By the end of the class, you’ll also learn how to transfer and embroider designs onto your clothes using water-soluble paper. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners, and all the materials you need to finish your project will be provided.
