Officina Botanica

The roof garden
Officina Botanica
is open daily from 8.00 a.m to 10.00 p.m

On the roof of the B11 building is Officina Botanica, a public roof garden designed by landscape architect Antonio Perazzi.
A hidden botanical garden conceived to encourage a modern coexistence between man and landscape in the sign of mutual respect. Covering an area of 560 square metres, with 96 trees and 1,300 shrubs and perennials, Officina Botanica is a hanging forest rich in biodiversity perfectly integrated in the industrial architecture, focusing on micro-flora and botanical rarities that characterise the uniqueness of the Florentine and Tuscan landscape.

Antonio Perazzi has selected species that require low maintenance and water supply and are able to filter and reduce air pollutants: a sustainable, flexible and low energy approach in line with the principle of regeneration – cultural, architectural and environmental – that characterises the entire Manifattura Tabacchi project. Open to the public, Officina Botanica is a place of aggregation, relaxation and contact with nature dedicated to those who frequent the Factory for work or leisure.
