Open Night

B9_B there

The main entrance for events is via delle Cascine, 33

Friday 21 June sees the renovated spaces of B9 come to life.
The Open Night party, featuring live DJ sets, has been organised in collaboration with Boiler Room & 4:3 who will also present an original project titled Plastic Dreams, a mix of art and music, specifically created for Manifattura Tabacchi.
It will also see the inauguration of the permanent spaces in B9; the ateliers for the new makers, the Soul Kitchen bar, the Bulli e Balene bistrot, La fabbrica dell’aria (The air factory) by Stefano Mancuso and a green area equipped with toys for children.

In exhibition for the first time in Italy, Plastic Dreams, curated by Amar Ediriwira and Gennaro Leone, will present nine video installations which open up passageways through techno utopias, artificial dystopias and evocative realities.

The show will be on in the new exhibition space in B9 until 20 July.

A month of intense collaboration also sees the presentation of a film festival curated by 4:3.

Also taking place on 21 June is the inauguration of the makers’ ateliers: artisans and designers noted for both their respect for local traditions and forward-thinking approaches.

Manifattura is coming alive, a place where innovation and creativity combine to provide the perfect venue for an incredible programme of events to take you through the whole of 2019.
