On Wednesday, July 1, as part of the Non solo Cinema in Manifattura series, The Post journalist Valerio Valentini will present his book La marcia sul posto – Il paradosso di Giorgia Meloni (Nottetempo, 2026), in conversation with Luca Sofri, founder and editorial director of The Post. Valerio Valentini (L’Aquila, 1991) lives in Rome and works as The Post’s parliamentary correspondent. He also writes the weekly political newsletter Montecit. He made his literary debut with the novel Gli 80 di Camporammaglia (Laterza, 2018), which won the Premio Campiello Opera Prima, followed in 2021 by Però l’estate non è tutto (La nave di Teseo). Together with Giulia Pompili, he co-authored Al cuore dell’Italia. Come Russia e Cina stanno cercando di conquistare il paese (Mondadori, 2022). In addition to politics, he has a more or less obsessive passion for cinema and cycling.
