Saturday, the 16th from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm and Sunday, the 17th from 11.00 am to 7.00 pm mark the inaugural exhibition event of A Room with a View, the first edition of a project dedicated to the young international community in Florence.
In the spaces of Festa – Exhibition Space at Manifattura Tabacchi, Toast has invited artists Marcela Castañeda Florian (Colombia), Ira Kostyuk (Ukraine), Savina Ražnatović (Montenegro), Bai Wenxi (China), and Abraham Yael (Mexico) to inhabit a particular territory – platform with their artworks. The simple exhibition setup distorts separations and boundaries, intervening in the apparent distances between cultures and languages.
A Room with a View is one of the 44 supported projects of the Toscanaincontemporanea 2023 call by Regione Toscana. Made possible with the support of Manifattura Tabacchi and through dialogue with Accademia di Belle Arti Firenze, IED Firenze, Istituto Marangoni, and LABA.
The project aims to give visibility to underground artistic research and promote encounters between communities.
It is complemented by a workshop led by Chiara Bettazzi at Circolo Mario Bencini and an exhibition open for visits until March 31st at Toast Project Space.
