Instant Furniture

Build with your own hands a complement of design furniture, the coffee table of the ‘Crate’ series, designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1934, and take it home. From reading the project, to the realization and patination / finishing.

The Instant Furniture workshop will start from a theoretical introduction and a contextualization of self-production in the history of design. An overview will be made of the projects, the great designers and the schools that have dealt with developing an “open” and “sustainable” path, far from industrial mass production. From Enzo Mari to Gerrit Rietveld, from Carlo Scarpa to Ira Saltz. Then we will move on to the practical part with the creation of the wooden furnishing accessory.
