The exhibitions “Solo nel Deserto” and “Archivi e topografie immaginarie” see the return of Robert Pettena’s workshop with the students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. The workshop focuses on the practices linked to the art of memory expressed through spatial maps in architectural photography, to then come, in the form of the two collectives, to trace a narration of spaces commonly understood as urban voids. Thus an ideal map of the area defined by the Arno and Mugnone rivers is outlined, which sees the places and interventions connected to Manifattura Tabacchi and PIA – Palazzina Indiano Arte in a dialectical relationship between human action and the resilience of the landscape.
