Toast Project Space is a place to reflect upon different contemporary styles and practices, a place to exchange experiences, and fills the gap that exists between the public and the works of art, through a constant regeneration of the dialectical exchange between artist, critic and public. Taking place in the ex- porter’s lodge at Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence, the project was born of an idea of the artist Stefano Giuri, in collaboration with art-critic Sergio Risaliti. The project was developed during the course of the Artistic Residencies programme promoted by Manifattura Tabacchi.

Chunk, Marcello Spada, a curated by Gabriele Tosi

Chunk is an industrial volume of foam, coated with a synthetic fabric which imitates animal fur. The sculpture can be installed without architectural restrictions, displayed as a solid element, but it can also be compressed into a space, even one that is not fully able to contain it.

Exhibited works:

Marcello Spada, Chunk, 2020, foam, fabric, 220x160x215 cm
