“In the early 90s, I had the good fortune to be asked by the Peccioli town council and by the curator Antonella Soldaini to carry out a public project. I was happy to accept because it meant stepping outside of an art system in which, like today, you risk closing yourself off on an island of self-reference. Since then I’ve been adopting this methodological approach to create works around the world, and I’ve done quite a few of them.”
